Today, Patrick Canessa was the first person to try a new method…tweeting a reservation.

Patrick reserved his table this morning for lunch at Cafe Solo in Casemates.

This is considered a new method of reserving a table and certainly a first (at least that we know of) in Gibraltar.

X Factor 2010 contestant John Adeleye is on the Rock at the moment as is X Factor 2009 contestant Lloyd Daniels.

John is working with a charity by the name of Wobbles and has visited numerous locations on the Rock. One of these stops was Cafe Solo. The award winning musicican didn’t shy from photos and had the pleasure of meeting the owner’s daughter, Victoria Locke.

Tony Evans and Rachel Victory were the leading force of the Solo Restaurants crew to take on the Lunar Walk 2011 which took the two towards the border, across and around the Gibraltar airport runway (09/western end), up Queensway and back down the Reclamation Road towards the Market and back into Casemates Square.

Upon their return to Casemates with the help of fellow, Thomas Lund, Cafe Solo remained open to all of whom took part in the Lunar Walk 2011. This was a safe haven for many due to the nature of a Friday night in the square.
